Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

FM receives credentials of new Australian ambassador

RIYADH-SABA
Foreign Minister Khalid Alyemany received a copy of the credentials of the new Australian ambassador to Yemen, Radwan Jawdat.

In a meeting they held in Riyadh on Tuesday, Alyemanypraised the distinguished relations between Yemen and Australia, citing the humanitarian aid contributions of Australia to our country.

He expressed the government's readiness to cooperate with the Australian ambassador and provide the necessary support to enable him to carry out his mission in strengthening the Yemeni-Australian friendship relations.

He stressed the Yemeni government's commitment to peace, and in this regard supporting the efforts of the United Nations peace mediator Martin Griffiths' efforts as he seeks to broker a deal between the government and the Houthi rebels.

He pointed out that the main problem preventing the the achievement of peace in Yemen is the Houthi stubborn rejection of all peace initiatives and sticking to the choice of war. He pointed to Iran's irresponsible and destabilizing practices in the region;supporting terrorist groups including the Houthi militia in Yemen.
