Foreign Minister Khaled Hussein Alyemanyand his Mauritanian counterpart Ismail Ould Chiekh Ahmed discussed the latest political developments in Yemen including the mediations to broker a peace plan in Yemen based on the internationally agreed upon terms of reference.

In the meeting the two ministers held on the sideline of the 8th session of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in Beijing on Tuesday,Alyemany praised the efforts Ould Chiekh Ahmed had exerted when he was the UN's peace mediator between the government and the Houthi rebels.

Alyemany stressed the government's support for the current UN peace mediator Martin Griffiths as he seeks to formulate a peace plan based on the mentioned references.
