Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Eng. Lutfi Bashareef has promised better Internet Services, at accessible and competitive prices. He confirmed that the new "Internet Service Provider: Aden Net" which has been launched recently will make difference in the Internet Services in the country.
Aden Net Company is a state-owned enterprises aimed to improve Internet Services." It is a significant achievement made by the General Telecommunication Corporation, established by a Yemeni team and equipped with up-date-high- technology", said Bashareef.
As he met Saturday with the Chairman of Internet Association in Yemen Eng. Fahmi Al-Bahith, the Minister affirmed that tireless efforts have been made to make Aden Net Internet's services available for customers by the end of july." Efforts are underway to put Aden Internet's services in the market at reasonable prices and wide-range of choices by the end of July, Bashareef said.
The Minister has made clear that the Ministry of Telecom is willing to host political websites, without censorship and no political website will be blocked. He said" Internet Service is governed by global laws need to be respected, the Ministry is ready to host political websites and others, and it will never block any political websites, nor exercise censorship over political websites, except for materials that are inconsistent with or Islamic culture and values", Bashareef said.
