Ambassador Jumeih: UNESCO Sent Monitoring Mission to Socotra Following Reports of Violations World Heritage Protection Convention
Yemen’s Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dr. Mohammed Jmeih has said that UNESCO has dispatched an international monitoring and response mission, with the participation of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), to the Island of Socotra, which is listed as a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Ministry of Public Health and Population dispatched Thursday in cooperation with the WHO a medical relief convoy to the province of Al-Mahara.
Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr Ali Al-Waleedi told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the convoy included 45 tons of medicines and medical stuffs.
The shipment of medical aids aimed to cope with the consequences of the cyclone which hit the province recently.
