The Civil Aviation and Met. Authority, in the temporary capital Aden, confirmed that airlines, international organizations and operators must obtain a prior flight permission from the Authority to enter the airspace of the Republic of Yemen, as it is the official civil aviation authority of the country.

Yemen's Embassy to the United States, Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and the Yemeni Community in New York City have marked the 28th anniversary of Unity Day, 22 May, by a celebratory ceremony in New York.
