Yemen has participation in the opening of the 27th Session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), which is taking place on May 14-18 in Vienna.
Yemen's representing delegation is headed by the country's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Vienna Haitham Shujaa al-Deen.
The five-day meeting will discuss the topics of combating organized crime, human trafficking and cybercrime.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, commended the role played by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna in addressing the international challenges of organized crime, human trafficking, corruption, illicit drug trafficking and cybercrime.
