Military experts have found 210 anti-tank landmines in in the southern province of Lahj, a legacy left by the Iran-backed rebels of Houthis.
The experts found the cache of Russian-made mines and other explosives in Al-Shafiq valley in the district of Toban in Lahj.
The place was secured in preparation for destroying all the explosives, a source in the army told Saba.
Lahj governor, Maj.Gen.Ahmed Turki directed the engineering teams to quickly dispose of them. He commended the security units for detecting this depot left by the rebels.
Government sources say Houthis have planted more than 300 thousand landmines since the beginning of their large scale insurgency in 2015.
