Fatah discusses Yemen humanitarian situation with head of AFAD

Minister of Local Administration, the head of the Higher Committee for Relief Aid Abdu Alraqeeb Fatah discussed with the head of Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) Mehmet Güllüoğlu, the contribution of the Turkish side to relief operations and emergency humanitarian programs in Yemen.
During the meeting in Istanbul on Wednesday, Fatah gave a detailed account of the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Yemen as triggered by the Houthi rebels' coup and insurgency.
He stressed that the government is working with all donors and international partners to deliver relief aid to all provinces of the country.
The government is currently working on the transition to the second phase of the relief operation; supporting livelihoods and, by extension, promoting stability in the provinces retaken from the rebels.
Fatah praised Turkey's brotherly efforts and support to the Yemeni people in all fields.
