DHAKA-SABA
The 45 Ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has wrapped up its session Sunday in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka. Our country participated with a delegation headed by the Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry Dr Mansour Bajash.
Bajash stated that the legitimate government is very interested in putting an end of the ongoing war and alleviating the Yemeni peoples' suffering. To this end, the government has been working in cooperation with the international community to mobilize resources and provide the humanitarian aids.
Bajash blamed the Houthi putschist militia for prolonging the war and worsening the humanitarian crisis. He said:" The humanitarian crisis that the Yemeni people have been struggling with is a result of the political dilemma caused by Houthi militia coup against the legitimate government. The coup d'état is the core of the humanitarian ordeal unless the coup is ended, the humanitarian crisis can't be managed".
He added that ending the coup and establishing peace on that is based on the GCC's Initiative, its operational mechanism, outcomes of the National Dialogue and UNSC resolution 2216 is the only way to address the humanitarian crisis and other challenges facing the country."
