President al-Alimi convenes meeting of government, local authorities

Landmine Action Center launches awareness-raising course in Marib

The Executive Center for Landmine Action launched on Saturday an awareness-raising course on the dangers of mines and UXOs in Marib province in coordination with UNICEF and the branch office of Social Affairs Ministry.

The course will, over five days, seek to raise the awareness of 30 participants from five of the province's districts in where the militia planted thousands of mines, some of which have left dozens of victims, while most of them are still a danger lying in wait for more victims.

In the course inauguration, the Director of the Center delivered a speech on the dangers of mines and the importance of raising the people's awareness to avoid their dangers.
