ADEN-SABA
Government officials have told the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation in Aden, Carlos Batallas that the security authorities in Taiz are hunting for the killers of ICRC employee Hanna Lahoud in the city.

Minister of Local Administration Abduraqeeb Fatah and Minister of Public Health Nasser Baoom met Batallas and his team in their office in the temporary capital on Monday.

They told him of a military operation launched in Yemen's southwestern city of Taiz at the beginning of the day to hunt the element (s) who shot dead Hanna Lahoud, a Lebanese national in charge of the ICRC's detention program, in Taiz on Saturday.

The ministers assured the ICRC that the government is following up the manhunt operation and will keep following up until the criminal is brought to justice.

They pointed that the humanitarian situation in Yemen requires the stay of aid organizations and to coordinate with the security authorities to provide protection for them. They said that the government is determined to protect all aid organizations so that they can carry out their missions safely.
