The Arab Inter-parliamentary Union (AIPU) has confirmed its condemnation of the Iranian support for Houthi rebels and interference in the Yemeni affairs.
The statement issued at the end of the AIPU's 27th annual conference held in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Thursday reiterated its support for Yemen's internationally recognized government under His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi's leadership.
Addressing the conference, Deputy Speaker of Yemen's Parliament Mohammad Ali Al-Shaddadi gave an account on the Houthi rebels'crimes against humanity, the widely known of which is the ballistic missiles firing and sea attacks against the interests of Yemen's brotherly neighbors. Locally, he said, the rebel militia has committed crimes against children by depriving half a million students from education and recruiting many of them as fighters on the frontlines.
