[30/03/2018 02:00]

RIYADH-SABA

Minister of Information Mo'amer Al-Iryani has warmed about the dangerous consequences of the Houth rebel militia's move that the militia entered into a contract with the Cooperative Agricultural Union. Under the contract the militia sells oil crude (Marib oil) which runs through Safer-Ras Essa oil pipeline. The pipeline stretched throughout more than 420 km from Safer in Marib province to Ras Essa harbor on the Red Sea.

Al-Iryani told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that this reckless move is enlisted within the militia's systematic policies of looting public resources including oil crude quantities contained in oil pipelines.

The Info. Minister said "Such irresponsible move will have devastating impacts upon the oil pipeline and the nation's infrastructure".

Al-Iryni went on saying:" Draining oil crude from the oil pipeline will result in damaging the pipeline, leaving the State unable to export oil once oil production is resumed.. The country will have to pay high cost to repair the pipeline."

The Minister stated that groups of gunmen of the Houthi rebel militia stormed the station that serves to reduce pressure on Safer oil pipeline located in Ras Essa region of Hodeida province. the militiamen expelled the staffs of Safer Company, kidnapped three of the workers and looted the station's equipment. That is actually a preliminary step toward initiating drawing the oil crude from the pipeline.
