Al-Mekhlafi, Al-Othaimen discuss preparation for Liaison Group's meeting in Istanbul

RIYADH-SABA
Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Mekhlafi held meeting Thursday with the Secretary General of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (ICO) Dr Yousif Al-Othaimen.

The meeting devoted to discuss preparations for the Istanbul meeting by the Liaison Group of Islamic countries about Yemen. The gathering suggested by Turkey.

Al-Mekhlafi praised the steady stance of the ICO and member states toward the situation in Yemen and the ICO supporting for the legitimate Yemeni leadership and government headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

He also underlined the importance of the ICO support for the UN's good offices aiming to realize political settlement and establishing durable and fair peace in Yemen.

For his own part, Dr Al-Othaimen has affirmed that the ICO is ready to provide Yemeni government and people with all possible support. He noted that the Liaison Group which consisted of the ICO member states has been doing its best to reflect the ICO' stance in supporting the Yemeni government, restoring the State's institution and establishing peace in Yemen.
