AMMAN-SABA
Yemen's ambassador to Jordan Ali Al-Amrani said:" Yemen's calamity had become the world's most grave catastrophe because of the war triggered by Houthi rebel militia and its ominous seizure the capital Sana'a in 2014, yet it has hardly drawn world's attention".
Al-Amrani's statement came at the Third International Conference themed:" Refugees in Middle East" International Community: Prospects and Challenges, held in the Jordanian capital Amman.
The ambassador stressed that it is the international and regional community's responsibility to help Yemen and contribute toward re-building the warn-torn country and reconstructing and developing the infrastructure which has been seriously damaged.
Al-Amrani called on Yemen's regional and international partners to adopt and promote an overall project for re-building Yemen, he said." Yemen's stability and security has proved vitally important for international peace and trade as well as security of the region, Gulf and Red Sea… so Yemen's stability must be regional and international concern".
