The Emirati Red Crescent (ERC) has signed an agreement to establish an integrated water pumping unit for the community of Al-Safal area in Asaeed district of Shabwa province.
Thesolar-powered project will benefit about 2,000 people, and it is of utmost importance to provide drinking water for the benefit of the population and the people of the Al-Safal, which suffers from the shortage of water, said the head of the ERC team in Shabwa Mohammed Al Muhairi.
He added that the agreement comes within the framework of providing vital services and that the ERC has adopted an integrated plan to implement projects in the sectors of water, health, education and infrastructure in several stages.
