Governor of Taiz Dr. Amin Mahmoud discussed on Sunday with representatives of public and private banks and directors of finance and custom offices the real situation of banking activity and challenges facing this sector.
He confirmed restoration of the role of the Central Bank of Yemen and regaining confidence in other banks, dealing with them and activating their performance for ensuring provision of cash and shouldering the national and social responsibility under these difficult conditions.
The meeting took a number of measures aiming at promoting performance of the Central Bank and tackled a mechanism for facing obstacles facing its performance.
The governor stressed also on the role of revenue-generating bodies to promote their performance in collecting income and preserving public funds.
He was briefed by concerned officials on different issues related to the process of the collecting revenues.
Earlier, Governor Mahmoud inspected activities of Taiz Cleaning Fund and obstacles facing its performance, including collecting revenues.
He stressed on making a plan on the needs of the fund and utilizing support of donor bodies for facing rain season and keeping the city clean.
