The governor of Hodeidah province, Dr. Hassan Taher, said that the Emirati Red Crescent has allocated 12 million Saudi riyals to rehabilitate some of the damaged facilities in Al-Khowkha District of Hodeidah in the aftermath of driving Houthi rebels out of them and of the whole town.
In a statement to Yemen News Agency (Saba), Taher said that the facilities that will be fully rehabilitated include schools, health centers and security installations. The ERC will fund the procurement of a large power generator to address the problem of electricity shortage in the district.
Taher said that the UAE plays a major role in providing the necessary relief and health assistance to the liberated areas in Al-Khowkha and Hays districts.
