The Emergency and Relief Committee in Abyan has discussed proposals to afford shelter for the hundreds of persons internally displaced in the province because of the Houthis' three years long coup and insurgency.

The Committee in its meeting chaired by the Secretary General of the Locall Council Mahdi al-Hamed called on the international humanitarian organizations to assist in offering all kinds of relief aid to 2800 families who fled Houthi brutality in northern Yemen to the southeastern province.
