The governor of Abyan Maj. Gen. Abu Bakr Hussein Saleh has issued directives to the local authority to distribute blankets to the internally displaced persons in Halamah area in the province. During an inspection of the IDPs camp, he said the authority would coordinate with NGOs to afford food and medical aid to the IDPs.

On the other hand, the governor chaired a meeting for the provincial security committee and emphasized the importance of increasing security viviglance to thward the outlawed elements. He also ordered measures to be taken to improve traffic in the city.
