Pentagon Spokesperson confirms US support to Yemeni government

The Spokesman of the US Pentagon Rankin Galloway has confirmed support of the United States to Yemen's legitimate government under President Hadi.

In an interview with Saudi- based Al Riyadh newspaper, he pointed out that US denounces Houthi acts of destabilizing Yemen and creating chaos across the country and holds the militia responsible on threatening lives of Yemeni people.

He confirmed that the United States provides logistic supports in battles against Houthis, noting to negative role of Iran via installing anti-ship weapons threatening navigation at marine strategic waterways.

He also pointed out to Iran's involvement of providing Houthis with technical aid, marine mines and explosive boats to threaten navigation at Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea.
