The Agricultural Research Plant for the Eastern Highland (Marib and Aljawf provinces) unveiled on Wednesday four strained of improved wheat seeds.

The announcement was made in a ceremony in the Plant's premises in Marib on Wednesday coinciding with the Farm Day.

The new inbred strains are ready for propagation and delivery to famers, according to experts from the plant.

In a speech,the Plant's Manager pointed to a coordinated effort with the Agriculture Ministry's office which led to this improvement of seeds which aims to achieve better harvests, cop's resistance to disease and eventually to mitigate food insecurity.
