The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

The Minister of Human Rights, Dr. Mohammed Askar, today met with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen, Alexander Feit and other members of the mission.
Minister Askar welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the overall humanitarian situation in Yemen including in the areas still under the control of the coup militia and the repression and persecution the rebel militia commits against the citizens there.
He also briefed them on the efforts exerted by the Ministry to consolidate and disseminate awareness about the concepts of human rights.
The Minister thanked the ICRC for its assistance and expressing the need for more given the severity of the situation.
