The Governor of Hadhramout Maj. Gen. Faraj al-Bahsani has declared his province to be cholera free.
In a ceremony held in Mukalla on Thursday to reward the personnel who successfully accomplished the mission "
Hadhramout Cholera-Free by the End of 2017 ", al-Bahsani said the credit goes to the personnel and all the Health, Water, Vocational Safety and other sectors in the province.
As of 2015, the militia's military takeover and unleashed war plunged Yemen in its worst humanitarian crisis in history. On the health level, epidemics, such as cholera, spread and claimed at least hundreds of lives.
