His Excellency (HE) President Dr. Rashad a-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), affirmed that the state is determined to protect civilians, uphold its legal standing and maintain unity in its military and security decisions, warning of the danger posed by the escalation of the South Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout and al-Mahra governorates and the involvement of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in supporting the rebellion and undermining state institutions.

Information Minister inspects media outlets in Marib province

Minister of Information Mo'amer Al-Iryani along with deputy governor of Marib Dr Abd-Rabbu Miftah inspected Sunday media outlets and offices in Marib province.

Al-Iryani paid an inspection visit to Marib local radio station, inaugurated Marib news website and an internet network radio. He also inspected the office of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) and visited the non-governmental radio station "Nation Voice" which transmits its airwaves broadcasting into the capital Sana'a.

The media outlets managers detailed the minister on the media discourse and messages that media platforms have been promoting at this critical stage. The minister also was briefed on challenges facing public media outlets and the needed support to bring media action up to standards so that public media can play its role effectively in the ongoing battles against Iran-backed Houthi militia.

Al-Iryani asserted that his ministry would do its own best to provide media outlets and journalists with every available support to help them improve media sector and role at this critical moment while media battle is as important as military one.

The minister stated that President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi pays Marib province great deal of attention particularly in the area of development and media." President Hadi gave instruction to establish Media Complex including TV, Radio and Press Platforms for Saba Province, said Al-Iryani.

Al-Iryani highly praised the significant support of Saudi Arabia under leadership of Costudian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He also hailed the United Arab Emirates' role in supporting Yemeni legal leadership and government.
