VP calls for anti-Houthi alliance

Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh has called on for an anti-Houthi alliance and opening a new page in countering the rebels which has devastated the state institution and committed various abuses against Yemenis.

In a statement to Saba, Ali Mohsen hailed the "awakening of the conscience and awareness on the part of Yemeni people of all walks of life against the militias."

He said that the uprising in the face of the Houthis proves the rationality of the free Yemenis who revolved against them. "We in the GPC, leaders and grassroots, won't bow to the pressures of the militias and we reject the Houthis' calls for ripping through our social fabric."

He affirmed the resolve of the government to step up the efforts of fighting the militias and cooperating with every Yemeni in getting rid of this militia.
