Yemen participated on Tuesday in the 22nd Conference of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention in the Dutch capital, the Hague.
Yemen's delegation was headed by the country's Ambassador to the Netherlands and permanent representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Sahar Ghanem.
The conference will wrap up on 1 December. Until then it will address a range of issues related to the organization's objectives of upholding the global ban on chemical weapons and destroying the weapons and making the world free of them by 2023.
Yemen signed the convention in 1993 and the convention enter into effect in the country as of November 2000.
