RIAYDH-SABA
President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi received Wednesday ambassador of the United Kingdom to our country Simon Shercliff.
The meeting focused on several topics of common concern including, the latest developments related situations in Yemen.
President Hadi touched upon terribly ordeal Yemeni peoples have been enduring as a result of the consequences of the war waged by Houth-Saleh militias on our homeland and society.
President Hadi said:" We had always been very keen on peace, weren't war-mongers. But this war imposed by Houth-Saleh coup against Yemen and Yemeni people that aimed to create a new reality and replicate Iran's experiment in Yemen, which Yemeni people would never accept and would make all sacrifices to stand up to Iranian expansion in Yemen and the region".
President Hadi went on saying: " Houthis don't believe in peace and coexistence, nor peace and dialogue, this is their theologian-exclusive doctrine they have chosen though we engaged them in the National Dialogue Conference as similar as other political parties and constituencies. However, they have reneged in order to carry out Iran's scheme in the region to serve its agenda aimed to destabilize the region and international maritime navigation".
President Hadi stated that peace objectives are clearly stated in its national and international references including UN Security Council resolution 2216.
He indicated that rebels don't care about peace nor pay attention to international community resolutions.
For his part, the British ambassador reiterated his own country's constructive stance in supporting Yemen.
