President al-Alim Calls for Wide-Ranging National Alignment to Restore State Institutions, Eliminate Coup

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces urged all Yemeni people to align themselves behind the State Proposal, support the Armed Forces in the security services in the ongoing battle to restore the State institutions and eliminate the coup. The Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh said that the Houthi-Saleh militias' coup d'état bred misery and destruction all the people of Yemen, everywhere.

In a meeting with top military generals in Marib on Friday, he recalled the militias' countless crimes against the military institution; dissolution of the army, imprisonment and layoffs of army leaders, looting of its resources, replacement of its personnel with uneducated recruits, mostly high-way robbers , former prisoners and criminals released from jails.

"The Iran-backed Houthi militias represent a real threat to the regional and international peace and a threat to the international shipping and continue their aggressions against the civilians in Yemen especially in Taiz and against the Kingdom (of Saudi Arabia."
