Minister of Public Health and Population NaserBa'om has confirmed the integrative role of the World Health Organization for supporting health sector in Yemen.
In the meeting with directors of the ministry's offices and field coordinators of WHO here on Monday, Ba'om stressed on making use of available capabilities for facing epidemics and taking precautionary measures for facing any emergencies, especially as rainfall season is approaching.
He called on all to unify efforts for improving health services in Yemen.
For their parts, Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population for initial health care Ali al-Walidi and Director of WHO's office in Aden Hussein Hassan confirmed significance of coming out with recommendations for improving health activities in Yemen under these exceptional conditions.
The participants reviewed projects financed by WHO and duties of coordinators in provinces and difficulties facing their activities.
The meeting dealt with duties of operation rooms across the provinces and their responsibilities.
