Yemen, GCC discuss UN efforts of reviving political process

Minister of State for Implementation the National Dialogue Conference's outcomes Yaser al-Ruaini discussed on Tuesday with Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullatif al-Zayyani developments under continuous violations of Houthi-Saleh's militias against Yemeni people.

Al-Ruaini handed over al-Zayyani a thank you letter from Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr for efforts of the GCC in supporting Yemen.

The meeting dealt with UN efforts for reviving political process in Yemen in accordance with the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.

Al-Ruaini confirmed keenness of the government on peace and supporting political track for solving the crisis.

He hailed the leading role of the GCC countries in supporting Yemen and boosting its security and stability, development and support of the legality for restoring the state and ending the coup. He also valued efforts of the council for making the national dialogue conference successful and continuous support for implementing its outcomes.

For his part, al-Zayyani praised efforts exerted by the Ministry for following up these outcomes agreed upon by all Yemeni people factions.

He confirmed adoption active initiatives for this purpose to highlight aims of these outcomes' objectives.
