PM: Taiz needs to be dealt with as a liberated area.
[19/10/2017 09:00]

ADEN-SABA
The latest developments and basic services in the governorate of Taiz were discussed elaborately by the Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obaed Bin-Dagher and the government's delegation that paid a visit to the governorate of Taiz recently.

In a meeting held in Al-Mashi'q Palace in Aden on Thursday Bin-Dagher heard a detailed report by the deputy Premier, Minister of Civil Service and Insurances, Abdulaziz Jubari, who headed a high-rank delegation tasked with re-normalizing situations and bringing government's institutions back into functioning.

The delegation has already managed to make significant achievements including re-opening the Central Bank branch and issuing passports automatically.

The Prime Minister highlighted the severe hardships our country has been experiencing due to an unwarranted warfare triggered by Houthi-Saleh militias against the state and looted some $5.2 billion of foreign reserves, besides taking control over 60% of the nation's revenue to fund their war.

The head of the delegation provided a detailed report about military, security and humanitarian situations in Taiz because of the unfair siege imposed and indiscriminate shelling by Houthi-Saleh militias against the governorate's population.

The Prime Minister gave emphasis to get the entire governorate of Taiz liberated and to be dealt with as one of the liberated governorates.

Bin-Dagher hailed humanitarian assistance and relief by the UN organizations that appreciably mitigated the people suffering in Taiz and other areas around the country.
