Yemenis will not forget the support of the Egyptian army's support for the 26th September Revolution, and numerous sacrifices that Egypt offered until Yemen defeated the theologian Imamite dynasty, President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi told his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

In a congratulations cable he sent to el-Sisi on the 44th anniversary of Egypt's 6th October day of victory against Israeli. On this day in 1973, the Egyptian army pushed across the Suez Canal and drove out the Israelis who had been occupying the Sinai Peninsula.

"We remember with all pride those immortal victories in defense of the Egyptian territories and Arab nation," read the cable in reference to the Egyptian day.
