KSA lays emphasis political settlement in Yemen

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia has laid emphasis on the importance of political settlement in Yemen as per the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue and the UNSC resolution no. 2216, the three locally and internationally agreed upon references for any peace process in the country.

King Salman reiterated this inclination during official conversations he held with the Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin in Moscow.

King Salman indicated to the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev that achieving peace and stability in the Arabian Gulf and Middle East region requires a Iran's halting of its expansionist policy and commitment to the principles of good neighbor-ship, respect of international laws and abstaining from interference in other countries' affairs.
