Minister Askar meets GCC officials in Geneva

On the sidelines of the 36th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Minister of Human Rights, Dr. Mohamed Askar, met with the Assistant Secretary General of the GCC for Legislative and Legal Affairs Ambassador Hamad bin Rashid Al-Marri and the Permanent Representative of the GCC to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Adel Issa Al-Muhri.

Askar reviewed the efforts of his ministry in promoting and protecting human rights and monitoring and documenting the crimes committed by the Saleh-Houthi militias against civilians since the conducted the coup three years ago.

He stressed the need to strengthen cooperation and exchange of experiences between our country and the GCC countries, especially in human rights field.

He praised the positive attitudes of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in supporting Yemen in all fields pointing out that the Yemeni people will not forget these attitudes.
