The US support is needed to combat all forms of terrorism including the Saleh-Houthi militias' terrorism, said President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
Hadi made the remarks during a reception meeting with theU.S. Permanent Representative to the UN, Nikki Haley,in New York on Monday evening.
Hadi said the coup militias invaded and vandalized cities, killed children and women and displaced the civilians in large numbers, as they seek to implement external agendas.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of common concern.Hadi praised the strong US-Yemeni relations pointing out to the strategic partnership with the US in various fields, especially in countering the common threat of terrorism and Iranian expansion among other others challenges. He also appreciated the US support to the Yemeni statein the face of the Saleh-Houthi coup.
The US ambassador expressed US support to Yemen in fighting terrorism, the Iranian interventions in Yemen and in the region as a whole.
The meeting also addressed the humanitarian relief aspects in the issues of the Hodeidah seaport and Sana'a Airport and ending the militias' control on them and, hence, the smuggling of weapons to Yemen.
