The Donor Coordination Group on the humanitarian side of the Republic of Yemen will hold its 2nd meeting in New York City on Monday on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting aims to coordinate the joint efforts of major donors supporting Yemen on the humanitarian side, and will discuss the humanitarian situation in Yemen, obstacles to the delivery of aid and mobilization of the efforts of all donors and the international community to provide more humanitarian support for the people of Yemen in all governorates as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States has provided many assistance, the most recent one amounted to $ 450 million announced at Geneva Conference on April 25, 2017 to support the United Nations response plan totaling $ 2.1 billion.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided $ 250 million, the United Arab Emirates $ 100 million and Kuwait $ 100 million
