The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Indian FM thanks Yemen for securing release of Indian priest

India's Foreign Minister Ms. SushmaSwaraj has phone called her Yemeni counterpart Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi and thanked the Yemeni government for assisting in securing the release of Indian priest Thomas Uzhunnalil.
Uzhunnalil has been held captive by al-Qaeda terror organization since March 2016.
Swaraj also expressed gratitude to the
Yemeni government for taking good care of the Indian community in Yemen and assisting in their evacuation upon the beginning of the country's conflict.
She expressed her government's support to the Yemeni state headed by President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi toward fighting terrorism and achieving a lasting peace in the country.
