The Director General of Yemen Oil Company (YOC) said on Monday that majoir oil companies will be contracted within the coming two months to import oil products so as to ensure an uninterrupted supply in the local market.
In a press conference in Aden, Nasser bin Haddour said the contracts would provide for various facilitations to help the companies import and distribute oil products smoothly.
He recalled the Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr's meeting with the Aden Security Belt Forces in which he ordered the security authorities to coordinate with the YOC in transporting and distributing oil products to the beneficiaries in a manner that guards against any fraudulences and leakage of the products to the black market.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining coordination between the YOC and the major electricity, water and health service provides to ensure adequate fuel supply to them and, hence, sustainability in their services.
