The armed forces under the Taiz Axis repelled Houthi militia gatherings and military mobilization on the northern front of the city today, as the Iranian-backed militia shelled several villages in Maqbanah District west of the governorate and targeted civilian areas in Mokha.

Water Minister, CSOs discuss emergency relief interventions

Minister of Water and Environment Dr. Ezzi Shoreim has discussed with the representatives of a number of CSOs and donor organizations the aspects of emergency interventions in water-related fields, and the future of financing CSOs' proposals. The meeting was held in the temporary capital, Aden on Sunday.

The meeting discussed the ideals that the ministry should follow in developing its performance and reinvigorating the administrative duties of its departments as a way of easing related difficulties that face the CSOs.

The minister was briefed by the CSOs and donor organizations' representatives about the prompt response mechanism that need to be followed to process emergency projects in water and environment sanitation fields in rural or very remote parts of the country.

The minister emphasized the importance of improving coordination between his ministry and the organizations to tackle the water scarcity issue, as a priority in the ministry's agenda.
