Abyan relief, humanitarian projects discussed

Governor of Abyan General Abu Bakr Hussein discussed on Monday with the Head of YemaniHikma Society Sultan al-Shaibani the role of the society in relief and humanitarian fields.

Governor Hussein praised the society's humanitarian role, confirming that this role has alleviated local suffering in some domains.

Meanwhile, al-Shaibani detailed the governor on efforts of the society in the past short period in Abyan including fighting cholera epidemic.

On the other hand Governor Hussein met on Monday with Representative of the International Community for the Red Cross Karlos Peats in Aden.

He praised the ICRC's role for its different support to Abyan, especially during Houthi-Saleh's war on the province in 2015.

The two parties discussed programs and activities the committee will implement next year and possible quick interventions in medical sectors and basic services.
