The European Union (EU) strongly condemned the attack by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias on the commercial ship (MINERVAGRACHT), which flies the Dutch flag in the Gulf of Aden.

The ambassador expressed gratitude over support provided by Netherlands to Yemen, pointing out that Netherlands supports Yemen's public institutions, independent bodies and human rights organizations.
The Dutch official affirmed that his country will continue supporting the legitimate government, expressing sorrow over intransigence of the Houthi-Salehmilitias and crimes committed by them against activists and journalists.
