Yemen's rights committee hands over report to President

President Abdo Rabbu Manshour Hadi received on Saturday the head and members of the National Committee for Investigating Human Rights Violations Alleges.

The committee's head and members handed over the report to President Hadi. The report included violations committed by all parties across Yemen.

President Hadi highlighted the role of the committee as a national corporation entrusted with investigation on claims of violations in different areas, urging it to continue its duty in accordance with the republican decree issued for its establishment to guarantee that all violators will be held accountable and to protect the rights of the victims.

"Your duty is national one for your country and for your people," said president.

He noted to violations and crimes committed by Houthi-Saleh's militias in Taiz where they bomb houses, hospitals and kill women, children and aged people besides besieging the city for more than two years.

The head of the committee and its members reviewed the president contents of the third report of the committee and information, data and methods applied in the report.

They also talked about challenges faced the committee and ways of overcoming these difficulties to practice its duty independently and honestly to report on violations committed by all parties across Yemen.

The committee recommended in its report to put an end to violations and improving human rights environment across Yemen.

It is worth to mention that the committee, after handing over a copy of the report to the president, will officially declare the report in a press conference will be held in the interim capital of Aden and will be posted on its official website and distributed to all national, regional and international bodies.
