The Emirati Red Crescent has distributed food baskets to the residents of Arraydah and Qusaierdistrict in the east of Hadhramout province.
The Director General of Arrydahand Qusaier district Ahmad Al Jumahi appreciated the humanitarian and relief role of the UAE Red Crescent in the cities and districts of Hadhramout.
He expressed his thanks to the UAE leadership, government and people for their continuous support to Hadhramoutand all the support offered to alleviate the impact of deterioration in living conditions as a result of the ongoing conflict.
The head of the UAE Red Crescent team Mohammed Al-Muhairi said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency that the UAE is keen to provide relief and humanitarian support to the liberated Yemeni cities during the Hope Restoration operation.
He said: "The UAE Red Crescent will adopt and implement a number of projects that alleviate the impact of the crisis on citizens, whether the projects are in construction or re-construction, in addition to relief and humanitarian support with food baskets and basic necessities."
Al-Muhairi praised the efforts of Hadhramout's local authorities which helped make the UAE Red Crescent team's humanitarian and development works, to the advantage of thousands of locals and IDPs in Hadhramout.
