Aden's al-Muflihi, UNHCR envoy discuss refugee issues

Governor of Aden Abdulaziz al-Muflihi discussed on Tuesday withUNHCR Special Envoy on the Somali Refugee Situation Mohamed AbdiAffey and accompanying delegationissues of refugees.

Al-Muflihi highlighted efforts and humanitarian contribution of the organization in Yemen, confirming readiness of the local authority to alleviate all difficulties and providing different support and security protection to international organizations for easing their functions and relocate their headquarters in Aden.

He called on the organization to boost joint work with the local authority for tackling all problems could face its operations.

For his part, Affey praised efforts of the local authority for taking care of refugees.

Efforts of the UNCHR in Aden and nearby governorates, as well as continuation of efforts of the organization to alleviate suffering of refugees were also discussed.
