Minister of Information Muamar al-Iryani met Monday with the Chairman of the Board of al-Ahram Corporation for Press and the Head of Egyptian Journalist Syndicate Abdulmohsen Salama and discussed with him humanitarian conditions and developments in Yemen.
While he explained how Houthi-Saleh's Alliance carried out their coup against the state, he highlighted the role of the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia in supporting Yemen's legitimacy to regain the state and humanitarian efforts provided by King Salman Center for Relief Activities to Yemeni people in relief and combating cholera.
He confirmed that the political leadership represented by President Hadi, Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh and Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin Daghr are so keen on realizing peace in Yemen and they are currently working on regaining the state and fighting terrorism.
The government is exerting efforts for normalizing conditions and providing services to liberated areas in addition to having a plan for reconstruction despite scarcity of financial resources, which were looted by Houthi-Saleh's militias for their war effort, said al-Iryani.
He also reviewed the situation of press and media in Yemen and violations, illegal arrest, terrorizing and killing journalist and media men by the militias, confirming that the government is taking care of media, especially under these conditions.
He praised Egyptian role in supporting the government, showing desire of activating joint relations with Al Ahram Corporation via activating protocols in training fields and exchanging visits.
For his part, Salama said Egypt is fully aware of Yemen's role and its stability and safety, noting that his country is supporting media and government.
He showed readiness in cooperation with different Yemeni media outlets in field of training and providing facilitations Yemeni journalists need.
He denounced violations committed by Houthis against journalists and media men.
