The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Aden governordirects Women Committee to start over

The governor of Aden has directed the National Women Committee to make a new beginning in Aden, long after the committee's suspension of activity due to the Saleh-Houthi militias' war.

Governor al-Muflahi issued the directive during a meeting with CSO female activists including history teacher in Aden University, Dr. Asmaa Ahmed Raymi and human rights advocates MunaHaytham and Ayesha Abdulaziz.

The governor cited the contribution of women to the enrichment of the history of Aden and raising Aden's status as a peaceful civil city.

"The restoration of Adeni women's pioneering role will come through the empowerment of women's role so that they can participate in all aspects of daily life," the governor said.

"The historical role of Adeni women was not limited to civil and community aspecs but included all the peaceful and military struggles that the city has ever gone through in the past."

The female activists briefed the governor on women's sufferingthat arised from the Saleh-Houthi militias' war; marginalization to the point of ending the National Women Committee's existence and freezing any pro-women activism.
