Abyan governor calls for contingency plan to fight cholera

The governor of Abyan Maj. General Abu Bakr Hussein Salem has stressed the necessity of laying a contingency plan to stave off the cholera epidemic in Zunjubar and Khanfar districts.
In a meeting with the local health leaders and the Cholera Ad Hoc Committee of the two districts, the governor called for the provision of all needed medicines and formation of an operation room to contain the virulent epidemic that going viral in several parts of Yemen.
The governor also called for the preparation of hospitals and chlorination of water in the afflicted areas as a way to reduce the infections.
