[17/06/2017 08:46]

ADEN-SABA
Deputy governor of Aden for Projects and Development Affairs said "the reconstruction of the buildings damaged during the Saleh-Houthi militia's war will begin after Eid Al-Fitr (Ramadan break).

Ghassan al-Zamiki said it will start from At-Tawahi region in Aden and that historical and tourist buildings and people's houses will be prioritized as the first to be rehabilitated."

He made the remarks during an inspection tour of the Raseef Al-Sowah, a tourist monument in At-Tawahi town.

Al-Zamiki had earlier inspected the building of Yemen's national news agency "Saba" and was briefed by the local office manager on the vandalism attack that occurred to the building during the war. The office equipment were looted which makes the office unable to operate now.

The deputy governor showed his readiness to provide support to get the building fixed again so that it becomes the agency's headquarter office in Yemen.

The deputy governor praised the big role the agency plays in covering news and events in the temporary capital describing that as "an enlightening role in the society."
