Paying back retired soldiers under Trust Building
[14/06/2017 03:11]
ADEN-SABA

Yemen's State Minister for the Implementation of the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference said that the government has begun to pay back salaries to soldiers who have been forced into retirement since the 1994 summer war.

The payment to 2978 officers started as of last Monday. Minister Yaser Arroayni said the execution of payment reflects the political leadership and government's will to address grievances in line with the Trust Building measures agreed upon within the National Dialogue Conf. Outcomes.

The minister said: "Some of the Trust Building measures were being implemented before the National Dialogue Conf., others during it and the rest have been paid" since the end of the conference.

A number of presidential resolutions were issued earlier to secure the execution of more Trust Building measures but the coup impeded them and rebels drained away the funds dedicated to those national healing measures
